A Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and Certified Sustainability Reporting Specialist (CSRS) with over 19 years of professional experience in the fields of Finance, Accounts, Treasury, and Foreign Trade. Mr. Hossain has served in senior leadership roles across renowned banks and organizations in Bangladesh, including Mutual Trust Bank PLC, Modhumoti Bank PLC, Prime Bank, National Bank PLC, and KPMG Bangladesh.
He began his career at KPMG Bangladesh, where he gained extensive audit experience in multinational corporations, banks, and manufacturing companies. Over the years, he advanced to become CFO and Group CFO in multiple banks before joining Meghna Group as General Manager, Foreign Trade in August 2023.

Leads the group’s foreign trade operations, including import and export management, banking liaison, credit facility optimization, and regulatory compliance. Oversees foreign currency transactions, LC operations, refinancing, and fund management to ensure cost-effective and efficient trade operations.
- Group Chief Financial Officer – Mutual Trust Bank PLC
Directed all financial and accounting functions of the bank, ensuring sustainable growth and compliance with Basel-III. Supervised financial reporting, capital planning, risk management, and taxation. Contributed to strategic decision-making as a member of MANCOM, ALCO, and BIU committees.
- Chief Financial Officer – Modhumoti Bank PLC
Strengthened internal financial controls, centralized payroll and fixed asset management, and led the development of financial manuals and gratuity fund policies. Implemented automation and improved asset-liability management to enhance profitability.
- Deputy CFO / Acting CFO – Prime Bank PLC
Supervised statutory reporting, budgeting, and sustainability reporting. Guided the preparation of ICAB and SAFA award-winning Annual Reports and implemented integrated reporting practices.
